Q. When will I have my resume and/or cover letter?
A: While timelines vary depending on the client's request and scope of work, we pride ourselves on our ability to complete your project fast. Most Best Foot Forward clients receive their final documents within two weeks, and projects can be expedited if you need it sooner.
Q. Can we meet in person?
A: We are based in Brooklyn, New York. If you live in New York City and prefer to meet in-person to discuss your needs, we're more than happy to schedule a meeting. In most cases, however, we handle client communication over the phone and via email.
Q. What are your rates?
A: Rates are based on the service requested, the client's level of professional experience , and any special requests you might have. Don't hesitate to inquire!
Q. What industries do you specialize in?
A: We have created expert resumes for job-hunters in a wide range of industries, including (but not limited to): industrial manufacturing, hospitality, operations, nonprofit management, media, government, technology, office administration, and much more.
Q. What if I am returning to the workforce after a long absence?
A: No problem. We have worked with many clients whose work history includes significant gaps for a variety of different reasons (parenthood, lay-offs, etc.). We are experienced in creating documents that highlight your value and present your work history in an honest, strategic way.
Q. What if I want to make a career change?
A: A lot of clients are interested in exploring a new field or set of responsibilities. We have experience in working with clients to assess their skills against employers' needs, translating their work history so that their value is effectively communicated in the new context.
